BULK, PORTAL TO HELL, REDUX REDUX join Mayhem Film Festival 2025 line-up

Last few days for Early Bird passes

Mayhem Film Festival is proud to announce three new titles from its upcoming edition which will take place at Broadway, Nottingham on 16-19 October 2025.

First up, Mayhem is delighted to be presenting Ben Wheatley's latest film, Bulk, fresh from its World Premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival. After a scientist's string theory experiment goes terribly wrong, Corey Harlan must navigate a mysterious house where doors lead to other worlds in order to find him and save himself. Bulk is a mind-bending venture in science-fiction from the mind of Ben Wheatley, who will also return to the festival alongside Producer Andy Starke to present the film and take part in a post-screening Q&A.

Next up is Woody Bess's Portal to Hell in which a debt collector's life is turned upside down upon discovering a portal to hell in his local laundromat and accidentally making a deal with a demon to sacrifice three souls in exchange for his neighbour's. A surprisingly profound debut from director Woody Bess that will keep you thinking long past the end credits.

Rounding up this second wave of announcements is Kevin and Matthew McManus's Redux Redux which follows a mother travelling through parallel universes to repeatedly kill her daughter's murderer. With a breathtaking central performance from Michaela McManus, Redux Redux is a haunting, tense and pulpy exploration of grief.

Mayhem is also excited to announce that director Marc Price will return to the festival to present the previously announced The Arbiter alongside cast member Michael Geary. Dawid Torrone's Dead By Dawn and Mohammad Reza Aslani's Chess of the Wind were previously announced and make up the remainder of the revealed line-up thus far.

Early Bird Passes for the festival are currently on sale for £85, but only until Sunday 31 August. From Monday 1 September, Full Festival Passes will be available at the price of £95. Passes are available from Broadway's website and box office.

The full line-up for Mayhem's 21st edition will be made available in September for both the feature and short programmes.
